One of the most enjoyed pleasures of the Island. You will find plenty of fisherman willing to take you around the Island to visit some of the beaches. The Bom Bom Island resort has more comfortable and safe services, and they will show you the Island in style on one of their boat tours!

This Island is all about fishing. Every year a marlin fishing competition is held and organised by the Bom Bom Island Resort, and it certainly is exciting to accompany the expert "marinheiros" of the Bom Bom!
You can do it on every beach of the Island, and you will probably find something. You will be astonished with the sea life around here. If you want to know the best places, ask the reception at the Bom Bom Island Resort and they will gladly let you know.

It is one of the increasingly sought after activities on the Island. You can go with a local guide provided by the Bom Bom Island Resort or with one that you hire yourself, either way you will be amazed with what you will find.

For birdwatchers, the Tinhosas are a must-see. The main marine bird colony in East-Africa is a truly unforgettable place for those who visit.

whalewatching
Hundreds of whales cross the Island between July and August. If you are on the Island during this period you can’t miss the whales. Seeing one is a memory that will stick with you forever. You can watch them from the Belo Monte viewpoint, but there is nothing like pulling up a small boat near a whale!
If you are in Principe and don’t trek, you are missing out on an adventure of a lifetime. Even the small ones are fascinating and will lead you through a unique forest of our planet. Take a guide and climb one of the many peaks of Principe and you will not regret it.

If you are in Principe between November and March you might be lucky enough to witness the arrival of the sea turtles as they come to nest on the beaches of the Island. It is a magnificent thing to witness and you wont want to miss it.
