BANZÚ RIVERIt springs on the northern side of the Pico Principe, and it is one of the most beautiful rivers of the Island. It ends on the Caixao Beach, the best place to see it and imagine the sinuous trail that leads back to its place of birth, way farther inland. | SÃO TOMÉ RIVERIn its end, on the beach with the same name, it shows off exuberant vegetation, endemic and exclusive to this part of the Island. It is the main river of the south and a true beauty. Its mouth is imposing and going inland, although tough, is highly rewarding. |

SÃO TOMÉ RIVERThe São Tomé river ends in the beach with the same name, in the south of the Island. It certainly calls for a visit, because it is so pristine. It is quite inaccessible, so you must go by boat. |
