DISTRIBUTION/OBSERVATION SPOTS: It occupies the entire Island and all its habitats, including Jockey’s Cap. It is very curious and fearless, and it will approach the observer. Its song is heard all day long.

FEEDING: A very varied diet. It is an opportunist and it will feed on fruits, seeds, invertebrates, small fish, and chicks from other species. Its preferred prey are land snails, which it breaks in large rocks in the forest.

REPRODUCTION: Nests have been found between September and February.

CONSERVATION STATUS: LC. It is not threatened at all.
